About the Artist

Kenny, currently more locally renowned for his singing, moved to Newcastle 10 years ago. It wasnt long before he noticed that the local and surronding areas hid a walth of beauty that never fades.

It was when he found a box of water colours and a few brushes he set out to record these sights. It opened up a whole new world for him. "When you paint you observe the landscape in a different way. You learn to appreciate it".

Having developed his skill of water colour painting and, with a keen interest in art, nega to attend local Art Exhibitions. There he met other keen Artists and also those who just had an interest in Art. "I was pleasantly surprised to find there was such a large 'Art Culture' in the local area. I find that these people who have a pride in their understanding of art and never tire of talking about it always showed an interest in my work."

With such a large artist community in the area, Kenny believes that Newcastle could host an International Arts event, attracting people from all four corners of the world. He also believes that any Artiist would thrive painting out beautiful surrounding landscapes.

"I never tire of painting the 'Mountains of Mourne' and paint them from many locations, I just hipe they will always sweep down to the sea."
