Welcome to Loughinisland GAC, official club Website. The purpose of this site is to provide information relating to the activities of the club. By the end of 2007 we had completed the first phase of our new club house. With the continued support of our members and supporters we aim to complete the members bar during 2008. All teams within the club have a busy year ahead, with the senior team aiming to reinforce their place in Division one.
So keep visiting regularly to our website to keep up to date with on-going activities. If you wish to contribute to the club's website all comments and ideas are very welcome.
- The remaining juvenile teams within the club had their presentation of awards were club members Gerard Colgan and Gary Mason, both holders of All Ireland Senior Medals, and now part of the Senior Management Team. The various team winners were as follows: -U-14 girls: Bronagh Murray, Rebekah Carville and Rebecca McKelvey, U-16 Girls: Ellie McCaffrey, Ciara Cochrane and Denise Hooke. U-12 Boys: Christopher Noade, Conor Feeney and Aaron McClements. U-14 boys: Paddy McKenny, Conor Corrigan and Michael Brannigan.
- This Saturday in the clubrooms, the various football awards for 06/07 will be presented. Players with perpetual trophies are asked to return them on Wednesday night to the clubrooms. Music will be provided on the night by Red Biddy.
- Anyone interested in managing or helping with the U-12 team, please contact any committee member.
- The club will be holding a big clean up on Saturday 15th March at 900am. If you find yourself with a bit of free time, please come along on the day. Both ladies and gents welcome.
- Volunteers are needed to form cleaning rotas for the new clubrooms. Please contact Declan Valentine on 07966009631.
- Training takes place on Thursday nights for the U-16 and minor teams at the school all weather pitch.
- Don't forget Easter Sunday night 23rd March - Andrea Rice and special guest Pat Woods will appear in the clubrooms.
- All players are reminded that club membership is now due. Closing date 31st March.
- If you want your business to be advertised in the home match programme, please contact Eugene Harte or Aidan O'Toole.
- The forthcoming new football season fixtures can now be obtained from the Down website. The senior team entertain Rostrevor at home in their first game.
